FREE Adult Basic Education and High School Equivalency Test Preparation Classes

The Vigo County School Corporation offers FREE classes to help you develop your skills in Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies and Science in order to prepare for the High School Equivalency test. To attend classes, you must be at least 16 years old and not be enrolled in regular school. Potential students must also attend an orientation before going to class. Adult Education Orientation Schedule

Everyone interested in attending free Adult Basic Education classes must attend an orientation.  At the orientation, students will take the TABE Survey, which is an assessment tool used to help students know what they need to work on to get ready for the High School Equivalency Test.  Once students complete orientation, they are able to attend classes the following week. Orientations are typically offered every week. Please see the schedule below for the list of dates and sign up today!

Our New Student Orientation process consists of one morning, afternoon or evening session of program overview and TABE skill testing and is the cornerstone for lesson plans for the individual student.
